Wind Energy Direct – Our Background

Founded in 2006 and based in Edinburgh, Wind Energy Direct specialises in installing wind turbines on business and industrial sites in the UK.

Last year Wind Energy Direct installed two 2MW Enercon E-82 wind turbines on-site at joinery company Munster Joinery. We also have had projects consented in Leicestershire and Stirling.

We operate a turnkey service, managing each project from concept to completion. We finance, build own, operate and maintain the wind turbines, selling the electricity produced to our customers at a significant discount to their retail rate.

This means that our customers can reap the benefits of having wind energy on-site, significantly reducing their energy costs and lowering their carbon emissions, without having to take on finance or risk.

Wind Energy Direct offers the complete wind turbine service package:

Professionalism

Our wind power engineers will carefully assess your site to ensure a wind turbine is the right choice for your business. We will maintain and operate the turbine as part of our all-inclusive service.

Wind Energy Sector Knowledge

Our team has extensive experience in the UK renewable energy industry, and will ensure that your turbine is custom-designed for your site and situation.

Financial Strength

Wind Energy Direct finances and manages your project from start to finish, so there’s no financial risk for your company: no capital outlay and no maintenance costs.

Wind Turbine Project Delivery

We pride ourselves on delivering our wind power projects on time, and to this end our experienced project managers will keep you well-informed throughout the duration.

Energy Cost Savings

Your energy will be supplied at a significant discount on your normal energy bills. We work with you to maximise your savings from the outset. We will review your existing energy tariff and calculate your net savings in detail.
